[ARCHIVED] Now Hiring – Paid On-call Firefighters

The City of Ramsey is seeking Paid On-call Firefighters to respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency events under the general supervision of an officer and are expected to function effectively as part of a highly trained team.  They perform duties in the following general categories:  fire suppression, emergency medical aid or rescue, hazardous material responses, water and ice rescue.  Paid On-call Firefighters also are required to attend regularly scheduled training in order to maintain the high level of knowledge, skill and ability necessary to function safely and effectively as a firefighter and EMS provider in accordance with state law and standard operating procedures.

 All formal (required) training will be provided and paid for by the City.  No previous experience is necessary.  New Paid On-call Firefighters will attend the Anoka County Fire Academy starting in March of 2023 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

 An informational meeting will be held at Fire Station #1 (15050 Armstrong Boulevard) on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 7:00 pm
