[ARCHIVED] Now Hiring – A 7-Month Parks Seasonal Maintenance Worker and a 7-Month Streets Seasonal Maintenance

The City of Ramsey is seeking individuals interested in working in the Public Works Department as a 7-Month Parks Seasonal Maintenance Worker and a 7-Month Streets Seasonal Maintenance Worker.

The 7-Month Parks Seasonal Maintenance Worker’s objective is to provide general maintenance of city-owned parks and trail systems.  Responsibilities include all aspects of parks maintenance, construction of new facilities and the operation of equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions.  Daily tasks will be varied and weather and/or season dependent.  This individual will assist city staff with the Summer Music Concert Series, Elmcrest Air Fair and the City’s Happy Days festival.

The 7-Month Streets Seasonal Maintenance Worker’s objective is to provide general maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, storm sewer systems; parking lots and any other related municipal facilities or equipment.  Daily tasks will be varied and weather and/or season dependent.  This individual will assist staff with events for the City.

Both positions will have a schedule of working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., beginning on/near April 1st and running through October.  There is no guaranty of further employment past the 7-Months.  These positions are AFSCME Union positions and are both are subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing.
