Haviland Fields
Presbyterian Homes/Senior Housing Partners proposes a multi-family development on portions of the Lord of Life Church property at 14501 Nowthen Boulevard NW. The project is in the early stages of the planning process. The existing church building and much of the parking lot would remain, though the two single-family homes on the property would be removed.
The proposal could be large enough that State environmental rules require a planning document called an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) is required. This document looks at the potential environmental impacts of such a development and identifies any mitigation measures if needed. The EAW analyzes the impacts of 476 multi-family units in three buildings, 22 townhome units (11 twin home buildings), and the church building with its remaining parking lot. The end proposal submitted to the City for development application could be smaller than the unit counts shown in the EAW but not larger.
The public is asked to review the EAW and comment on the analysis of the impacts. If there is something that is believed to be left out or incorrectly stated, please notify City staff expressing your concerns. Those concerns will then be reviewed and incorporated into the final EAW document. Approval of an EAW is not an approval of the project—it is just an acknowledgment by the City Council that the EAW reviewed the anticipated environmental impacts properly. After the EAW, the developer will apply for development applications for approvals of the project.
