About the Fire Inspection Department

Fire AlarmThe Fire Inspection Department is responsible for new construction plan review and inspections at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with the Minnesota State Fire Code, City Ordinances and the Life Safety Code. The Fire Inspection Department also conducts routine life safety fire inspections of existing commercial, industrial and multi-family residential structures to ensure continued compliance with Minnesota State Fire and Building Codes for the safety of the building occupants, the volunteer firefighters and our community.

Permits
