Every summer, the City of Ramsey sponsors a two-day, daytime Kids Safety Camp for up to 144 second and third graders. The goal of safety camp is to teach children how to prevent themselves from becoming victims of unintentional injuries. Through a variety of fun activities, professionals teach kids how to be safe around fire, animals, electricity, water, on a bicycle, and more.
Safety Camp is held at Elmcrest Park in Ramsey. The registration fee is $30, which includes activities, supplies, snacks and lunches, a bike helmet, a T-shirt, and an ice cream social. Scholarships are available. Registration is limited and is on a first-come basis. Visit our online catalog to register.
If you have any questions regarding camp, please contact our camp coordinators at 763-427-6812 or email Melissa Schantzen.
Our camp is run on donations from local residents, businesses, and registration fees. Camp would not be a reality with the support from the following organizations.
