US Highway 10 in Ramsey:  Open House Events

As part of the TH 10 in Ramsey:  Preliminary Interchange Design project, the City of Ramsey has held four open houses for residents, business owners, policy leaders and other interested parties.

A business information open house meeting was held on December 6, 2007, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center.  The purpose of the meeting was to inform local business owners about the proposed project and to better understand how the future highway improvements could impact property along the corridor.

A public information open house was held on February 11, 2008, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center.  The purpose of the meeting was to provide area residents and businesses an opportunity to comment on five draft alternatives and their associated impacts prior to the selection of a Preferred Alternative.

A meeting was held on February 21, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Youth First Community for Change building.  The purpose of this meeting was to provide residents of the two manufactured home communities, Oak Terrace in Ramsey and Woodlyn Court in Anoka, with information about the proposed project, including project need, alternative concepts, and project schedule (note: Woodlyn Court was closed shortly before the meeting occurred).

An open house was held Monday, November 17, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center.  Layouts showing the preferred alternative and preliminary information about the environmental impacts of the project were displayed at the meeting.  Anoka County, the City of Ramsey, Mn/DOT, and the project's consultants were available to address comments and answer questions.

A public hearing/open house will be held Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Alexander Ramsey Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center.  The public hearing will allow the public to comment on the EA/EAW.  Staff from Mn/DOT, Anoka County, and the City of Ramsey will be available to answer questions.  No formal presentation will be made.
