2030 Comp Plan.
Per Minnesota
Statute §473.859, each community in the seven-county metro
area is required to submit a Comprehensive Plan to the
Metropolitan Council every ten years. More information
regarding Comprehensive Planning with the Metropolitan
Council can be found at
http://www.metrocouncil.org/about/facts/CompPlanningFacts.pdf.
The City’s Comprehensive Plan Update has been approved by
the Metropolitan Council. The action by the Metropolitan
Council included:·
Authorized the
City to put the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update into effect.
Accepted the revised forecasts identified in the Review
Record.
Provided advisory
comments to include in the final draft of the Update.
Approved the
City’s Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan

The City is now authorized to
adopt the Update in its final form. Consideration for
adoption of the Update is tentatively scheduled for March
23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
