Home Page Anoka County, the City of Ramsey, and Mn/DOT have partnered to study ways for improving mobility and safety at the intersection of United States Highway (US) 10 and County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 83 (Armstrong Boulevard). Of special concern is the close proximity of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) and US 10 along CSAH 83. The BNSF parallels US 10 at this location and intersects CSAH 83 at grade. Freight and Northstar commuter trains create significant delays for southbound CSAH 83 traffic and emergency vehicles and the potential for vehicle and train crashes. A map showing the location of the project is provided below:
An open house was held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 to receive public input on the intersection's safety and congestion issues.
